Written by Charles "L.C." Cooke (Sam Cooke's brother) Originally performed by Sam Cooke in 1957 and also Teresa Brewer in the same year.

Covered by a vast array of artists including (but not limited to): Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole and Peabo Bryson, Amazing Amar, the Temptations, Hiram Bullock and don't forget the Steve Miller Band!

Also recorded by Michael Bolton, Curis Cantwell Jackson and Janiece Jaffe, Aaron Neville with his amazing trademark voice, Sue Matthews, Jason Yeager, Roy Ayers and a jazzy scat version by Rachelle Ferrell.
