Mired in marital conflict, Ben (Bruce Willis) and Katie Jordan (Michelle Pfeiffer) separate for the summer to independently evaluate their 15-year union. During the separation, they reflect on how they've changed and question their marriage's strength. After looking to friends for advice and guidance, Ben and Katie soon realize that only they can decide their union's fate.

Pauline Collins reprises a role she originated onstage in this Academy Award-nominated drama about Shirley Valentine, a housewife who decides in her middle age that there's more to life than stifling domesticity. An unplanned trip to Greece with a friend expands her horizons in ways she could never have predicted, allowing her to fall in love again beyond the bounds of marriage, find herself and grab the reins of her future.
A delightful romantic classic. Pauline Collins is incredible. An uplifting, feel-good story. Maybe a bit light on the romance but worth a watch anyway. It got me back into making "Chips and Egg" for D. He loves it!
Writer-director Nora Ephron's Oscar-nominated romantic comedy stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan as soul mates who come perilously close to never meeting. Although separated by thousands of miles, rueful widower Sam Baldwin (Hanks) and soon-to-be married Annie Reed (Ryan) connect through a radio call-in show encounter engineered by Sam's son, Jonah (Ross Malinger). Fans of An Affair to Remember will enjoy the many references to that classic romance.
A delightful movie. How we yearn for them to get together! Tom Hanks is superb as Sam, who thinks he'll never love again. Meg Ryan is as bubbly and cute as ever.
